Well hello!

Wow! My own blog! This is quite an intimidating undertaking! First off - let me explain a little about why I'm even attempting this. It's not because I have some great aspiration about writing -because believe me if there is one thing I am not - its a writer! It's mostly because I am a thirty something single girl, living in the east bay of SF, who is currently unemployed, completely broke and quite frankly totally bored!! I'm running on six months of unemployment and at this point I'm trying anything to keep a little structure and order in my life. And so...   I'm going to tell you all about what I'm doing to fill my days.

So far I've spent most of my time making "stuff". All kinds of stuff! I'm what people refer to as a Jack of all trades and master of none. If I see something neat I like and can't afford I come up with a cheap (or hopefully free) way to have it anyway. I paint, I sort of sew, I cut and glue, I knit, I tie knots...  I think you get it. I also love to cook and read and generally try to do "good" as much as possible. I love my Jesus and my church and try to be as involved as possible. I have a true heart and passion for the youth of the world and find the most fulfillment in working with them. I also REALLY love to travel!! And although at this point in my life I can't afford to do much worldwide traveling I always try to find some kind of adventure where ever I am.

So that's it! My first post done! Whew! Not quite as hard as I thought. I don't really have any specific goals from this point on but I hope that something I share will help to inspire or encourage someone somewhere in the world at some point in time. So here's to another great adventure! Hope you enjoy!

  1. Hey, great job! You've managed to do more than I have so I'm impressed. I've been saying I was going to start a blog and have been stuck on the name. Now I'm inspired! Thanks :) Look forward to reading more!
